What’s Not to Like About International Trade

There are many things that are great about international trade. Besides offering many people from other countries jobs and services that would not be available to them, international trade is industrializing many other countries. Other advantages of international are that people are able to experience fruits, vegetables, and other products that come from other countries that we would not be able to experience otherwise. However, there are many down sides to international trade as well.

There are many arguments that say that even if we support the internatioal trade of developing countries, the money does not always go back into the country. Many say that the money goes to fill the pockets of people who are already rich while the people that work for them are not earning enought to survive. It is also true that industrial businesses are placed in areas of high population so that people are available to do the work. In many countries, people live in poverty outside of cities but are unable to make the trip everyday to have a job.

In places where products can be assembled or created for cheaper fees because labor laws to not exist, people are taken advantage of. Think of stories of sweat shops, they still exist. There is also the fact that if products can be exported, assembled, and resold in the original country for more, means that jobs for assembly will be given to other countries. When people take of their jobs being sent overseas, that is what they mean.
